Area Beach:
Located at 4.5 kms from Viveiro, the sand stret-ches 1 km in lenght, and it possesses the only stretch of dunes in the district.Area beach has two small beachs aside .It is a distinguished zone of weekend-holiday residences
Covas Beach:
Situated at the back of stuary of the river Landro, on the other side of the town of Viveiro and in front of the harbour of Celeiro, it has more than 2 kms of fine sand.In this side of Viveiro there are many bars, pubs, inns hotels a football pitch, etc.
Other beaches are:
Portonovo: Located at the foot of Faro Mount in Area and in the bounds of the Viveiro and Xove councils.
Seiramar: Situated on the left side of the Covas Promenade
Arnela:It seems a small private beach Spot on the right side of Area beach, it access is a foot path.( very close to the Complexo Alameda hotel)

Viveiro.-It is the town hall and you can stroll and get lost among its narrow streets and drives visiting the historical-monumental pieces ( S. Maria´s church, the Town Hall Square, The Concepcionist Convent, San Francisco Church, or just go window-shopping.There is a yatch-port, the leisure area of S. Roque with a small hermitage and a wonderful countryside of the Landro estuary.
Viveiro surrounds:
Estaca de Bares: The most sharpened part of the North Spain, there is a small port in the village.
O Barqueiro: A small pictoresque touristic village.
Xove: Although the town hall is inland, all over its coast there are plenty of beautiful beaches.
Cervo. A traditional village with lots very well conserved stone houses, here is the famous Sargadelos ceramic factory.
Ribadeo. An important yatch-port and beautiful town to visit, it has many beaches to visit, the most important is Catedrales´beach.
